Health Simplified

Just eat food that is REAL! Made from plant, not *in* a plant. Clean lean protein! Healthy fats! And get your fibers (soluble and insoluble)

Monitor, but spread out your time/goals

Just like our weight, inches come and go. I have been fortunate for the last couple of years that my inches have gone but, since December 2017, I haven't been the best with eating.  So this is my progress since January 1st 2018. I also encourage you to make your measurements monthly, annually. This helps you make your goals more realistic.  End the year smaller then you started if size is your g oal. Too many try to lose too much too fast and unfortunately it comes back even faster. Just monitor yourself longer and again a recommendation would be to measure yourself January 1st, then possibly monthly, and then at the end of the year to end the year the same or smaller is an amazing victory. You know it! Who's with me?

I absolutely love Max Capacity training app. I've done in the past and I haven't stopped thinking about doing it again. This morning it was a no-brainer to just do it. I keep procrastinating restarting my workout lifestyle and I know this one is easy for me because it's quick, it tells me what to do, and I see results. I'm just using it today to get myself started. I kept overthinking and rethinking which made me keep procrastinating. Today, I decided to make it day one and  to just do it! I know for two very dear friends this year, they did not decide the day they were diagnosed with type-2 diabetes. It just happened. So this was a wake-up call for me to do the same with my health and for me in particular my workout lifestyle to just do it, just start, doesn't matter the day of the week, the day of the month or the month of the year. Start because health issues, ailments, and diseases are waiting to come out unless a healthy lifestyle is maintained. it ...

Control Actions, Get Support

It is great to be blessed to be a mom. It's crazy that it wasn't supposed to happen. Not because when I was a teenager I never wanted to have kids.  😂 it was because after 12 months of eight different doctors a myriad of tests, labs, and very embarrassing appointments, I was told I would never have children without medical intervention. It was the hardest thing because in 2002, it seemed that everyone I knew was getting pregnant and or giving birth. it was so very hard, but I've had to do a lot of praying and acceptance and surrendering to a situation I couldn't control. Fast-forward to 2004 and we were blessed with our first born. Within six years, we were blessed with four children. I did experience in miscarriage and that was extremely hard. That kind of grief doesn't go away but I'm glad that my faith and support helped me. All of this to say two things, 1) we can't control everything but we can definitely control how we at we react to...
