Even I cannot believe it!

So 3 weeks ago, I finally feel ready for working out and it not feeling like work... Just do it! The pain was taking pictures and measurements. It just takes time, hahaha. But boy was I glad I did! Because today I did it again to see. They scale is up and down and up and it's just discouraging but I know my clothes feel better!  SO HERE's the proof!!! I modify the workouts.  I do NOT jump. I do NOT plank. I DO engage my core. I DO tighten the glutes. I am so technical with this workout. I have eaten horrible. I am usually 80/20 or even 90/10 but I have been 50/50. It's a crazy time and fast food or bread/cereal are easy! But I pay for it in inflammation and more. Anyway, be encouraged to move 15 min a day. Improve your health!

Workout 15 is done.

These series of workouts start a different group of muscles per day. I purposely don't look ahead so I'm surprised at what's going to happen. Today for some reason I was ready for some hard core cardio or something that was going to really beat me up. Boy was I surprised. Today's workout was actually a muscle flow and stretch and really a lot of release. Yogahhhhhh. In fact, it was so much release, that the last movement was just lying still. Yes the corpse pose. And I just had no idea that I would just ugly cry in a happy cry way because of my blessings. I'm in awe of where I am in life. It's just wonderful. I wish everyone who's hurting could feel the peace and joy even the challenge and struggles. Please know I am praying for everyone who's hurting physically, mentally, emotionally. Those who are confused and out of control. I completely relate to any and all of these feelings and actions and mindsets. Let me be motivation, inspiration, or encourageme...

8 years later, still doing great!

Success for some can be immediate while for others it's long term.  What are you in for, the short or long term? I have always said the Tortoise wins not the Hare! See this video at 11:43 ... it's me! WOW that was just the end of 2011 to the middle of 2012 and I kept going! Now 8 years later, I am still on this journey! WOOWOO! Thank you for being with me or if you are new to me, check out my story or let me cheer you on. There is nothing more great in life than doing life with other people in your zone and being supportive through it all! At 11:43 - it's good ol' me! :)

When I was dubbed "Super Fan"

Image
The year 2014 was after I reached my goal and really needed to put a plan in place for maintenance. I was finding resources that supported my new lifestyle.  I know I needed more plants! I needed something quick and easy. Naturade has GREAT resources and I could not buy then fast enough. It was quality and affordable for my low income / poverty level purse. It was great to be recognized as a SUPER FAN in 2014 with Naturade! Here's the text in case the site or page ever goes away: Jackie Davis lives in Jacksonville, Florida with her husband and four kids. The whole family travels to Central America for managing the operations of their construction ministry. Traveling is not an excuse to give up on her healthy lifestyle. She is passionate about eating healthy, which she has defined as the right quality, quantity, and frequency of foods. She encourages many to make realistic long-term lifestyle changes. Her own lifestyle changed in 2011, eight months...

Vegetables and fruit!

Image
I confess when we first started this stay-at-home thing the cheapest and easiest stuff to get was unfortunately junk food. I sadly Partook in this consumption because it was a basics of what we had. Thankfully today, my husband visited two different grocery stores and helped stock us up on our veggies and fruit. This should last us this week and hopefully weekend. The country is too close over the weekend so I'm pretty sure we should be good. I confess while I washed the vegetables, I ate a lot of the radishes. But I rather fill up on natural foods than junk food. I found that when I consumed some crackers or other items, I kept feeling hungry but when I eat a lot of vegetables, I get full faster. Keep drinking tons of water.

What is your stress reliever?

Image
Stress reliever. Do you garden? Well I am not completely a green thumb, but I do like to see a plant grow from a seed or from a starter of another plant. I think doing any activity with her hands can help us relieve stress. Some people are doing puzzles, others draw, I know I love to quilt. gardening or taking care of our plants is another stress reliever for me. It's away from the computers, less screen time. Just overall very good. Not to mention the vitamin D and physical activity. We have a planter in front of the town home and so it was overgrown with grass. When the stay home order started, I ripped out all the grass. Then my daughters and I brought some plants from our other plants. Then my husband wonderfully got me some black paper and White Rock. Yesterday we put the White Rock down. On my nose you can see the white dust from the White Rock. anyway it may not be a work of art and landscaping but my daughters and I did it and we are so happy. Creating memories, getting act...
